When a place like Reunion Resort calls, you know it’s going to be special. For 22 years, this Florida paradise has offered its 1,800 members and their families world-class amenities: from three legendary golf courses designed by Palmer, Nicklaus, and Watson to a vibrant lineup of member events, a water park, and even a mini-golf showdown or two. And to cap off the 2025 season, they invited me to bring the magic to their biggest night of the year—the Magical End of Season Awards Show.

The evening was part comedy show, part awards ceremony, part family reunion—for the kind of chosen family that forms over decades of tee times and tiki bar toasts. Platinum Club members filled the room—retirees, seasonal residents, golf-lovers, and their spouses—all of them ready to laugh, celebrate, and remember what makes this place so rare.
We brought high-energy mentalism, playful audience interaction, and moments of real awe to the stage. But more importantly, we made space to highlight the people that make Reunion magic:
John Keenan, captain of the Birdie Juicers, whose team name deserves a trophy on its own
Dick Lynch, who runs the courses with the same precision he once brought to his naval ship
Shaughnessy Giddings, whose beverage cart is basically the fifth signature course
And Tully, who’s as dependable on the course as he is at Miller’s Ale House

As emcee, I had the honor of presenting the night’s most beloved awards—like “Quickest to the Bar” (Jeff Holt), “Most Likely to Show Up On Time” (Greg Olson), and “Best Straw Hat” (Donna Adams), among others. The crowd roared when Andy Maguire—their ever-dedicated Director of Golf Maintenance—was named “Most Likely to Crash the Divas Party.”
And of course, we ended with heartfelt applause for Ava Franks and Roger Norman, the winners of the Sunday Couples Friendship Award—a couple who’ve shown up, stood out, and supported this community weekend after weekend.
Behind the laughs, the show helped Reunion celebrate what really matters: community, continuity, and the connections formed between friends who started as strangers. It’s not just about who won the most points—it’s about who showed up for the most Sundays. Who made memories. Who turned this resort into a home away from home.
